7. Google User Data
This section describes how Speedpoint accesses, uses, stores, shares, and retains data obtained through Google APIs, in addition to the general terms of this Privacy Policy.
- Data we access: With your authorization, Speedpoint accesses your Google account data through the Gmail API. Specifically, we request the ability to read your email messages and settings (
gmail.readonly) and to send email on your behalf (gmail.send). We access this data only after you explicitly grant permission through Google’s OAuth consent screen, and you may revoke this access at any time through your Google Account settings or from within Speedpoint.
- How we use the data: We use your Gmail data to provide the email features of our customer- and shop-management platform, including displaying your inbox and individual messages within the application; allowing you to read, reply to, and compose messages without leaving the platform; and associating incoming and outgoing email with the corresponding customer, lead, or vendor records in your account so that you and your team can maintain a complete view of each customer relationship. Where you have enabled the relevant setting, email from a sender who does not match an existing record may be used to create a new lead record in your account.
- How the data is stored: Email messages imported into Speedpoint are stored in our databases and in encrypted cloud file storage operated on our behalf (Amazon Web Services). Message content is stored so that it can be displayed and searched within the application.
- How the data is shared: We do not sell your Google user data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. Within your own Speedpoint account, email associated with a customer record is visible to users whom your account administrator has granted access to that customer, for example the salesperson assigned to that customer and other team members with permission to view it. This allows your team to maintain a shared, complete view of each customer relationship. Email that is not associated with a customer accessible to a given user is not visible to that user. We use subprocessors (such as our cloud hosting and search-infrastructure providers) to operate the service; these providers act on our instructions and do not use your data for their own purposes.
- AI and machine learning: We do not use your Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models, and we do not transfer your Google user data to any third-party tool or service that would use it to train such models.
- Advertising: We do not use your Google user data for advertising purposes.
- Data retention and deletion: We retain imported email data for as long as your account remains active and this data is needed to provide the features described above. You may delete individual messages within the application. You may request deletion of your Google user data, or disconnect your Google account, at any time; upon account termination or a verified deletion request, we delete the associated email data from our systems, including from our databases and cloud file storage.
- Limited Use: Notwithstanding any other provision of this Privacy Policy, Speedpoint’s use, storage, and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
8. Children’s Privacy
Our Services are not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children. If you become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete such information.
9. Third-Party Links and Services
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites or services, such as Payment Processors or Marketplace Vendors, that are not owned or controlled by Speedpoint. This Policy does not apply to the practices of such third parties, including their handling of payment data for vendor-direct charges. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may modify this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (e.g., by email, by posting a notice on our website, or within the Services). Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of the updated Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes. This Privacy Policy was last updated on July 31, 2026.
